Terms of Service

By making a purchase, the client confirms they are familiar with the artist's style and are commissioning a fine art portrait in watercolor and ink. The artist's style is illustrative and stylized, not photo realism. Portraiture reflects the artist’s unique interpretation, not an exact science. The artist will strive to capture the subject’s likeness and work with the client on adjustments, but reserves the right to limit changes to maintain artistic integrity. All images, sketches, and preliminary works remain the artist's property. The artist may photograph the artwork for publicity or reproduction, retaining all reproduction rights. The artwork cannot be reproduced without the artist’s written permission.

Shipping

The artist’s typical turnaround time is 4-5 days after receiving your order. However, this may vary depending on how quickly you respond to the artist’s feedback. The artist is not liable for delays in the process due to slow or incomplete responses from the client, as the process requires ongoing communication and feedback. This time may also vary depending on unforseen circumstances, and though the artist will do her best to notify you of any schedule changes or possible delays in advance, this may not be guranteed possible.

Shipping is handled through a third-party service, Shippo. Once your order is completed, it will be packaged and shipped using their services. The artist is not responsible for delays, damages, or loss of the artwork during shipping. Please note that shipping times and any related issues are managed by Shippo, and tracking information will be provided once your order is dispatched.

Terms of Sale

Payments are processed securely and privately through Stripe and PayPal. Payment in full is required at the time of purchase. All sales are final due to the custom nature of the artwork. Refunds are not available except in cases where the artist is unable to complete the artwork. If such a situation arises, the client will be contacted, and a full refund will be issued. Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase. After this period, cancellations are not permitted as the artist begins the creative process promptly to ensure timely delivery.

Process

Once you place your order on my website, I'll review it and contact you promptly to discuss the details. At checkout, please include your preferred contact information in the form, including a valid email address. Email is the preferred method of communication for smooth interactions. If email is not available to you, please let me know so we can arrange an alternative means of communication that works for you.
You can send me any additional information right away, or I may request it when I reach out to you. This may include photographs of the location, addresses for places to paint, subjects to include, and any names or dates you want featured.

Next, I'll create a preliminary sketch or draft of your portrait. You'll have the opportunity to review it and provide feedback. This is where we refine the details to ensure the portrait meets your expectations. Once we finalize the draft, I'll proceed with the full painting. This stage involves creating the finished piece based on our agreed-upon details and feedback.

After the portrait is complete, I'll notify you and provide a preview and then prepare the artwork for shipping. Each piece is securely wrapped in protective materials and shipped with care and attention to detail to prevent any damage during transit.

Privacy

The artist values and respects the privacy of all clients. Any personal information provided, including photos, addresses, names, and dates, will be treated with the utmost care and confidentiality.

In the process of creating custom artwork, the artist may collect the following information:

Photos for reference
Addresses of locations to be depicted in the artwork
Names and dates for personalization
Shipping addresses

All personal information shared with the artist is securely stored and protected from unauthorized access. The information you provide will be used solely for the creation and delivery of your custom portrait and will never be shared publicly under any circumstances. The artist reserves the right to reproduce and publish completed works, but if the artwork contains sensitive information, such as names, clients may contact the artist to request the removal of this information from any public displays or publications.
